According to Kruger Sightings, the lioness duo was very successful in defeating roan antelope (a large animal of the antelope family), however, they encountered problems in delivering the finishing blow.

The antelope was so big and strong, facing death, that it struggled with all its might. The result was to knock out two predators.

However, that is not necessarily good news because during the previous period, the injuries to the limbs, especially the hind legs, were too severe for the antelope to run away quickly.

Even standing still now becomes a difficult task for him. The antelope weakened over time, its four legs almost collapsed while the two lionesses were still very alert, they did not rush to attack but chased closely with a sufficient distance.
