The snake recklessly stole the eagle’s egg and suffered tragic consequences.

While on a picnic, a group of people in the US recorded the moment an eagle was fighting a giant rattlesnake.

At first, the rattlesnake fought back very fiercely. However, with its sharp claws and beak, the large bird easily defeats its opponent. After that, the eagle waited for the prey to completely die and then tore the snake’s body for food.

As the largest snake-eating eagle, the brown snake-eating eagle weighs 2.4 kg and has a wingspan of up to 1.6 m.

“They often swallow their prey whole and some reports show them eating even the most venomous snakes like black mambas,” Eeden said.

Snake-eating eagles often attack their prey from above, focusing their kicks on the snake’s head and using sharp claws to cause injury. However, eagles are not immune to snake venom and rely on speed and strength to avoid being bitten. They also have to deal with the cobra’s tight coiling strategy. The eagle often exhausts the snake to wait for the opportunity to attack from behind the head of its prey.
