Wild buffaloes get mad, use sharp horns to gouge the lion’s belly to save their fellows

Seeing his fellow in distress, the wild buffalo rushed to attack and then used his horns to ram the lion’s abdomen.

The fearsome battle between a herd of lions and a brave wild buffalo was recorded at the Mala Mala reserve in South Africa.

In the clip, a wild buffalo is being knocked down by 12 lions and then rushes to attack. Right after that, the buffalo herd began to arrive. One of them decided to rush in to rescue the injured buffalo lying among the lions.

The buffalo rushes to attack a lion and then uses its horn as hard as steel to skewer the opponent’s abdomen. After being thrown into the air a few times, the lion was hurled to the ground like an object.

Witnessing this scene, the remaining lions panicked and fled. Meanwhile, the injured buffalo struggled to get up to escape. However, due to the severity of the wound, a nearby lion jumped on its back and knocked the buffalo again. Two other lionesses rush forward and finish the job with the ill-fated prey.

With an adult body weighing from 500kg to 1 ton, the African buffalo is like a solid tank capable of knocking out all enemies. The curved horns and large hump on the head are also powerful weapons to make it more secure when confronting predators.
